Bishop Verot piles up the points against Estero

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only the Bishop Verot Vikings walked away with it. They really took it to Estero for the full four quarters, racking up a 44-6 win at home. Considering Bishop Verot has won ten matchups by more than 26 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Leading Bishop Verot to victory were Carter Smith and Matthew Turner. Smith threw for 288 yards and four touchdowns while completing 84.6% of his passes, while Turner picked up 238 receiving yards and four touchdowns. Turner's longest reception was for an incredible 99 yards. Ryan Gadson also deserves a mention for his punt return touchdown.

Bishop Verot has yet to lose a contest at home this season, leaving them with a 11-1 record. They've been dominating during the games in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 34.42 points. As for Estero, their loss dropped their record down to 9-3.

Bishop Verot has the luxury of staying home another week and will welcome Booker at 7:30 p.m. on November 24th. Booker will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings (they are ranked 126th, while Bishop Verot is ranked 25th). Estero does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
