Football Game Preview: St. George's Gryphons vs. Northpoint Christian Trojans

St. George is preparing for their first district matchup of the season on Friday. They will be playing in front of their home fans against the Northpoint Christian Trojans at 7:00 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

As a matter of fact, St. George's put up the most points they have all season on Friday. They really took it to KIPP Collegiate for the full four quarters, racking up a 48-16 victory. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 35-0.

Meanwhile, Northpoint Christian waltzed into their matchup on Friday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They came out on top against the Eagles by a score of 31-18.

St. George's win bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Northpoint Christian, their victory bumped their record up to 4-2.

St. George's took a serious blow against Northpoint Christian in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, falling 42-0. Can the Gryphons avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
