Basketball Recap: Freeport Falls Despite Big Games from Isaiah Baker and Andrew Seward + How To Watch

Freeport was the 54-45 winner over Harlem when they last played one another back in February, but their luck changed this time around. The Pretzels fell 68-61 to the Huskies on Wednesday. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Friday (60), the Pretzels still had to take the loss.

Freeport's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Andrew Seward, who went 8-for-11 on his way to 18 points, and Isaiah Baker, who dropped a double-double with 18 points and 11 boards. Baker continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Kazion Morehead, who posted 11 points and five rebounds.

Mateo Perera produced another solid performance putting up 29 points along with six assists and six boards for Harlem. The contest was Perera's third in a row with at least 20 points. Ryan Miller also deserves some recognition as he posted his first blocks of the season.

This is the second loss in a row for Freeport and nudges their season record down to 2-6. As for Harlem, their victory ended a five-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 4-5.

Looking ahead, Freeport will be home for the holidays to greet Guilford at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. The Pretzels will need to watch out since the Vikings have now posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season. As for Harlem, they are taking a road trip to take on Belvidere at 7:15 p.m. on Friday.
