Basketball Recap: Fleming County Comes Up Short

Fleming County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They took a hard 70-56 fall against the East Carter Raiders. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Panthers of the 64-56 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in January of 2025.

Fleming County's loss dropped their record down to 9-11. As for East Carter, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-6 record this season.

Fleming County wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, an 84-73 win against Mason County on the 12th. As for East Carter, they have also already played their next matchup, a 62-34 victory against West Carter on the 12th.
