Baseball Recap: Glide Drops Highest Score of Season Against St. Mary's

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Glide). They were the clear victors by a 27-6 margin over the St. Mary's Crusaders on Wednesday. The Wildcats haven't had any issues with the Crusaders recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Glide pushed their record up to 5-3 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 16.0 runs over those games. As for St. Mary's, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Glide will welcome Creswell at 1:00 p.m. on Friday. As for St. Mary's, they will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Lakeview at 5:00 p.m. The Honkers' pitching crew has only allowed 3.6 runs per game this season, so the Crusaders' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
