Recap: Valley Vikings vs. Knoch Knights
Valley lost against Knoch back in March of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Valley Vikings wound up on the wrong side of a tough 10-1 walloping at the hands of the Knoch Knights.
Nikolas Heakins put in work no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Heakins was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in two of his three plate appearances.
Heakins wasn't the only one making solid contact as two players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Dominick Dunkel, who went 1-for-2 with a double.
Having lost for the first time this season, Valley fell to 2-1.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Valley will square off against Burrell at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Valley is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road dating back to last season. As for Knoch, they will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Highlands at 7:00 p.m. on April 2nd.
