Football Recap: Springfield Comes Up Short

After flying high against Willamette on Thursday, Springfield came back down to earth. The Millers lost 26-6 to the Thurston Colts on Thursday.

Kira Balcom threw for 29 yards on two of 12 attempts. On the ground, Kailie Hill rushed for 37 yards and one touchdown.

Springfield now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Thurston, the win keeps they at an undefeated 5-0.

Looking ahead, Springfield will head out on the road to square off against Creswell at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Thurston, they have already played their next game, a 20-7 victory against Willamette on the 10th.
