AIMS College Prep took a three-set defeat the last time they faced off against Oakland Charter, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The AIMS College Prep Golden Eagles won by a set and slipped past the Oakland Charter Matadors 3-2. This was payback for the Golden Eagles, who suffered a 3-0 loss the last time these two teams met.

The match was a true back-and-forth as no team won consecutive sets, but in the end it was AIMS College Prep who won the one that mattered. The final score came out to 25-9, 22-25, 25-14, 23-25, 15-8.

The win made it two in a row for AIMS College Prep and bumps their season record up to 2-1.

Coming up, AIMS College Prep will venture away from home to face off against Skyline at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Oakland Charter will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on KIPP King at 5:00 p.m. on March 28th.
