Basketball Recap: Berean Baptist Academy Comes Up Short

After flying high against Northwood Temple Academy last Tuesday, Berean Baptist Academy came back down to earth. The Berean Baptist Academy Bulldogs took a blow against the Freedom Christian Academy Patriots on Friday, falling 65-15. The loss continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their matchups with the Patriots: they've now lost six in a row.

Amaliah Harris was Berean Baptist Academy's leading scorer, having posted five points.

Freedom Christian Academy found their leader in sophomore Allison Lett, who almost dropped a double-double on 27 points and nine rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which Lett has scored at least a third of Freedom Christian Academy's points. Zarah Lewis was another key player, putting up 14 points and five steals.

Berean Baptist Academy now has a losing record at 2-3. As for Freedom Christian Academy, they now have a winning record of 5-4.

Berean Baptist Academy and Riverside Christian Academy will compete for holiday cheer at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Freedom Christian Academy, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 69-23 defeat against South Wake on the 16th.
