Softball Recap: Stevenson Extends Home Winning Streak to Five

Stevenson barely beat Plymouth Christian Academy the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Spartans put the hurt on the Eagles with a sharp 10-0 win on Monday. Considering the Spartans have won five contests by more than nine runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Stevenson's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-1. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.2 runs on average over those games. As for Plymouth Christian Academy, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Stevenson is packing up and heading out for their first away game of the season: they will challenge Franklin at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Plymouth Christian Academy, they will face off against Lutheran Northwest at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The game will give the Eagles their first taste of in-conference action this season.
