Basketball Recap: Newport Comes Up Short

Newport lost against Walnut Ridge back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Newport Greyhounds fell 53-41 to the Walnut Ridge Bobcats. The Greyhounds have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Newport's loss dropped their record down to 15-12. As for Walnut Ridge, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-16.

As of now, neither Newport nor Walnut Ridge have any future games scheduled.
