The biggest upset of the week belonged to West Branch, who took down 176th ranked Carrollton, 13-7.

The Warriors moved up to 268 from 336 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in Northeastern Buckeye. West Branch climbed the ranks as a result of a 13-7 win over the Warriors.

Alliance's dynamic duo of Kordelle Phillips and Ryan Bevington proved tough for Canton South to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Phillips threw for 287 yards and four touchdowns and Bevington had 151 yards receiving. JJ Kukura helped Alliance's passing attack out by catching five balls for 55 yards.

Jake Riley was the most productive running back in the league this week. He ran for 113 yards on 29 carries as Minerva fell to the Wildcats. Teammate Dalton Hartshorn added to the ground attack by rushing for 34 yards.

5-foot-8 quarterback Phillips of Alliance is the league leader in passing yards this season with 914. He has also thrown eight touchdowns. On the ground, the Lions' Riley has rushed for 543 yards which leads the league. The leading receiver in the league this season is Noah Mallen. The Canton South star has 29 catches for 550 yards.

The top two defenses in the league will face off this season when Marlington takes on Carrollton. The Dukes have allowed 65 points this season, while the Warriors have given up 49. Marlington allowed 10 points last week as it beat Salem.

Ed Miley's team extended the longest winning streak in Northeastern Buckeye this week by beating the Quakers, 41-10. The victory was the fifth in a row for the Dukes.
