Rockwood Summit hadn't done well against Westminster Christian recently (they were 0-3 in their previous three matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Falcons had just enough and edged out the Wildcats 5-4. For the Falcons, this counts as revenge for the 7-5 win the Wildcats walked away with the last time they faced one another back in March of 2021.

The victory made it two in a row for Rockwood Summit and bumps their season record up to 8-5. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 4 runs in those games. As for Westminster Christian, they now have a losing record of 5-6.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Rockwood Summit will venture away from home to face off against Lafayette at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Westminster Christian, they will head out to take on St. Pius X at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
