Huffman is a perfect 3-0 against Tarrant since March of 2024 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Vikings will be playing at home against the Wildcats at 5:30 p.m. Huffman will be strutting in after a win while Tarrant will be coming in after a defeat.

Huffman's defense heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 5-0 margin over Jackson-Olin. The result was nothing new for Huffman, who have now won eight contests by three goals or more so far this season.

They hit Jackson-Olin with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Alysia Gonzalez (2), Genesis Ocesueda (2), and Kimberly Martinez.

Meanwhile, Tarrant was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against Houston Academy, falling 10-0. While losing is never fun, Tarrant can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama soccer rankings (they are ranked 208th, while Houston Academy are ranked 33rd).

Huffman pushed their record up to 13-5 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those five games. As for Tarrant, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-15.

Everything went Huffman's way against Tarrant when the teams last played back in February, as Huffman made off with a 10-0 victory. Do the Vikings have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Wildcats turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
