Soccer Recap: Gilbert Takes a Loss

Gilbert managed to slip by Aiken the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Gilbert Indians came up short against the Aiken Fighting Green Hornets on Thursday, falling 3-0. The contest was a close 1-0 at the break, but unfortunately for the Indians it sure didn't stay that way.

Gilbert is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-4-2. As for Aiken, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 4-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Gilbert will welcome South Aiken at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Aiken, they will host Gray Collegiate Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Gray Collegiate Academy will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something Aiken surely won't give up without a fight.
