Softball Recap: Trinity Christian Beats Magnolia for Their Fourth Straight Victory

Trinity Christian waltzed into their match on Tuesday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 9-8 W against the Magnolia Blue Eagles. This was a revenge game for the Warriors: when they faced off against the Blue Eagles back in April, they had to take a 10-6 loss.

Paige Hopkins was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out nine batters over seven innings while giving up four earned (and four unearned) runs off seven hits. Hopkins was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI.

In other batting news, Trinity Christian got a massive performance out of Peyton Moore, who went 2-for-4 with two triples and two runs. Those two triples gave Moore a new career-high. Isabella Kelley also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.

Trinity Christian kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their hit total in three consecutive contests.

Trinity Christian pushed their record up to 12-10 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.5 runs over those games. As for Magnolia, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-8-1.

As of now, neither Trinity Christian nor the Blue Eagles have any future games scheduled.
