Football Game Preview: Lathrop Mules vs. East Buchanan Bulldogs

The Lathrop Mules will venture away from home to take on the East Buchanan Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Lathrop has four straight victories, East Buchanan has three straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

While Lathrop didn't have the best season last year (they finished 1-9), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They secured a 28-24 W over Skyline on Friday. That's two games straight that the Mules have won by exactly four points.

Meanwhile, East Buchanan came up short against North Platte on Friday and fell 34-27.

Lathrop's win bumped their record up to 4-0. As for East Buchanan, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-3.

Lathrop took a serious blow against East Buchanan when the teams last played back in September of 2024, falling 64-21. That game was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Mules were down 35-15.
