Football Game Preview: Lynden Christian Lyncs vs. Nooksack Valley Pioneers

The Lynden Christian Lyncs are taking a road trip to face off against the Nooksack Valley Pioneers at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Lynden Christian's defense has only allowed 12.2 points per game this season, so Nooksack Valley's offense will have their work cut out for them.

Lynden Christian barely beat Meridian the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Lyncs simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat the Trojans 48-7. The Lyncs haven't had any issues with the Trojans recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.

Lynden Christian's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Boyce Robertson, who picked up 88 receiving yards and three scores. Robertson is crushing it when it comes to receiving touchdowns: he's hauled in at least two every time he's taken the field this season. Another back making a difference was Chris Kooiman, who rushed for 83 yards and one TD.

Meanwhile, Nooksack Valley's game on Friday was all tied up 7-7 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They managed a 13-7 win over Montesano. Those 13 points were actually the fewest the Pioneers have put up all season, but given the result they're probably not too concerned.

Lynden Christian's record is now 7-1. As for Nooksack Valley, their record now sits at 5-3.

Lynden Christian might still be hurting after the 32-7 loss they got from Nooksack Valley in their previous meeting back in November of 2024. Can the Lyncs avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
