Baseball Game Preview: Webb Spartans vs. Knoxville Catholic Fighting Irish

For the second straight game, Webb will face off against Knoxville Catholic. The Spartans are taking a road trip to face off against the Fighting Irish at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Webb has struggled recently with four losses in a row, while Knoxville Catholic will arrive with three straight wins.

On Monday, Webb came up short against Knoxville Catholic and fell 6-3.

For Knoxville Catholic's part, Tyler Slatas looked comfortable as he tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Slatas has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up a single earned run in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Alex Ditmore was incredible, going 1-for-2 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Cooper Williamson, who went 2-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one double.

Knoxville Catholic's victory bumped their record up to 18-12-1. As for Webb, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-15.
