Softball Recap: Lawson Comes Up Short

If Lawson was riding high fresh off their 26-3 takedown of Glencliff last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Lightning came up short against the Franklin Admirals on Friday, falling 15-5.

Joi Stewart was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Katie Greer, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI.

Lawson's defeat dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Franklin, their victory ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 2-11.

Lawson will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Battle Ground Academy at 4:30 p.m. on the 8th. As for Franklin, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, a 10-0 defeat against Summit on the 1st.
