Hammond had to endure a five-game losing streak dating back to last season, but that streak is no more. They walked away with a 67-54 victory over the Long Reach Lightning on Wednesday. The Golden Bears' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Hammond's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-4. As for Long Reach, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games.
