Football Game Preview: Oakhaven Hawks vs. Fayette Ware Wildcats

The Oakhaven Hawks will square off against the Fayette Ware Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Oakhaven is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 58 points last Friday, they were much more limited against Middle College on Friday. They came up short against the Bulldogs, falling 34-12. The loss continues a trend for the Hawks in their meetings with the Bulldogs: they've now lost six in a row.

Although Oakhaven took the loss, they still got scores from Ky Robinson and Cordarius Bobo.

Oakhaven didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Robinson and Matthew Thomas. Robinson is on a roll when it comes to interceptions, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played. Another thorn in Middle College's side was Kaleb Bonner, who picked up two sacks and made six total tackles (3.0 for loss).

Meanwhile, Fayette Ware had to suffer through a 53-16 loss at the hands of Haywood. While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee football rankings (they are ranked 277th, while the Tomcats are ranked 94th).

Fayette Ware's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Oakhaven, their loss dropped their record down to 3-2.
