Hargrave Military Academy came into Saturday's contest looking for another win against Virginia Academy, but Rondel Jones Jr. wouldn't allow it. Everything went the Virginia Academy Patriots 's way against the Hargrave Military Academy Tigers on Saturday as the Virginia Academy Patriots made off with an 89-68 victory thanks in part to Jones Jr., who posted 22 points. His afternoon made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points.

Several Tigers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Royce Nash, who earned 11 points and eight rebounds. Another player making a difference was Teshawn Ricks, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 11 boards.

The win made it two in a row for Virginia Academy and bumps their season record up to 6-4. As for Hargrave Military Academy, they moved to 9-4 with that loss, which also ended their eight-game winning streak.

Virginia Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, an 89-64 victory against Nansemond-Suffolk Academy on the 8th. As for Hargrave Military Academy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 126-106 defeat against Evergreen Christian on the 8th.
