Montgomery extended their winning streak to seven games thanks to a huge performance from JJ Sanchez. The Montgomery Aztecs enjoyed a cozy 58-44 victory over the Victory Christian Academy Knights on Tuesday thanks to Sanchez, who dropped a double-double with 28 points and ten boards. He is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed three or more in the last three games he's played.

Xair Mendez was another key player, putting up 14 points. What's more, he also posted a 67% three-point shooting accuracy, which is the highest he's posted since back in November of 2024.

Victory Christian Academy's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Troy Tominna, who went 6-for-13 on his way to 17 points and five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Angel Ochoa, who posted eight points and three steals.

Montgomery's win bumped their record up to 25-2. As for Victory Christian Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-13.

Montgomery wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, an 85-28 victory against Mater Dei Catholic on the 13th. As for Victory Christian Academy, they have also already played their next game, a 60-39 win against Olympian on the 13th.
