Big Game from Jones As St. Petersburg Fell 33-28

Starting off the list is St. Petersburg's Jeffery Jones, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Jones rushed for 214 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 11.3 yards per carry, and also threw for 75 yards and a touchdown. His rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his fifth straight game with at least 119 rushing yards.

St. Petersburg moved to 6-2 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak. Jones and St. Petersburg have the luxury of staying home for another week and will welcome Osceola at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

Osceola Wins Third-Straight Thanks to Dylan Xayasongkham

Dylan Xayasongkham's big game helped extend Osceola's winning streak to three on Friday. Countryside had no answer to Xayasongkham as he made five total tackles and defended a pass. Xayasongkham also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, making five total tackles and defending a pass in addition to snagging an interception.

Unfortunately for Countryside, this isn't the first big game they've seen from Xayasongkham. Back in October of 2023 (the last time Xayasongkham saw the Cougars), he forced a fumble, made eight total tackles, and defended seven passes in addition to snagging an interception.

A Season-Best Effort from Keatin Emener Leads Northeast over Pinellas Park

Keatin Emener produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Northeast to the win on Friday. Emener rushed for 12 yards and three touchdowns, and also threw for 137 yards and a touchdown.

With the victory, Northeast broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 2-5. Emener and Northeast will challenge Southeast at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

Gavin Galish Delivers Best Performance of Season

On Friday, Osceola got the W thanks in part to Gavin Galish playing the best football he has all season. Galish threw for 183 yards and four touchdowns on only 17 passes.

This year, Galish has thrown 8 touchdowns while averaging 94.7 passing yards per game. It gets even more impressive: after seven games last season, he was only averaging 51.49 passer rating per game. This year he is averaging 85.14 passer rating.
