Rutland won the last time they faced Southwest and things went their way on Monday too. The Hurricanes came out on top against the Patriots by a score of 2-0.

Rutland never let Southwest on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-22.

Rutland's win bumped their record up to 6-13. As for Southwest, they are on an 11-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-8.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Rutland will head out to face off against Morgan County at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Southwest, they will venture away from home to challenge Central at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
