Football Game Preview: Bourgeois Braves vs. Terrebonne Tigers

Bourgeois is 2-8 against Terrebonne since November of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Braves will venture away from home to challenge the Tigers at 7:00 p.m. Bourgeois has given up an average of 37 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 33-3, which was the final score in Bourgeois' tilt against Thibodaux on Friday. The contest marked the Braves' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Terrebonne took on East St. John on Friday. The Tigers claimed a resounding 52-14 victory over the Wildcats. Considering the Tigers have won four games by more than 19 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Bourgeois better keep an eye on Quincy Adams. He was instrumental in Terrebonne's win, rushing for 80 yards and two touchdowns on only 11 carries, while also throwing for 175 yards and three TDs on only 14 passes. Adams got the majority of those rushing yards when he took off on a run that went for an incredible 57 yards. Sahj Ruffin was in the mix as well, providing Terrebonne with two scores.

Terrebonne's defense made their presence known, laying out the QB six times. East St. John's QB won't forget Chance Cunningham anytime soon given he sacked him twice. Another thorn in the Wildcats' side was Malik Matthews, who picked up a sack and made eight total tackles (2.0 for loss).

Terrebonne's win bumped their record up to 6-2. As for Bourgeois, they now have a losing record of 3-4.

Bourgeois couldn't quite get it done against Terrebonne when the teams last played back in October of 2024 as they fell 20-7. Can the Braves avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
