Volleyball Recap: Belleville Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Belleville waltzed into their matchup on Saturday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came out on top against the Catholic Central Hilltoppers by a score of 2-0. That's more bragging rights for the Wildcats, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Belleville's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Korynn Potter, who had eight digs and four aces. Those four aces gave Potter a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Jocelyn Raven, who had 11 assists and three aces.

They weren't the only good servers: Belleville was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 15 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least nine aces in six consecutive matches.

Belleville's victory bumped their record up to 16-9. As for Catholic Central, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 12 of their last 13 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-20 record this season.

Belleville has already played their next matchup, a 2-1 win against Belmont on the 4th. As for Catholic Central, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Sun Prairie East on the 4th.
