Mercedes extended their winning streak to nine games thanks to a huge performance from Robert Sanchez. The Tigers really took it to the Porter Cowboys for the full four quarters, racking up a 69-0 victory with plenty of help from Sanchez, who rushed for 107 yards and four touchdowns on only six carries, and also picked up 64 receiving yards and one score. He got the majority of those receiving yards when he pulled down a pass and took off for a gain of 55 yards.

Mercedes' record now sits at 9-0. As for Porter, their loss dropped their record down to 3-6.

Mercedes has already played their next contest, a 56-6 win against Pace on the 7th. As for Porter, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 34-14 defeat against Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Southwest on the 6th.
