Basketball Recap: Loyola College Prep Takes a Loss

Loyola College Prep was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They were dealt a 50-14 loss at the hands of the Booker T. Washington-Shreveport Lions. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Flyers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 48-7 back in November of 2024.

Loyola College Prep's record is now 1-18. As for Booker T. Washington-Shreveport, their win ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 9-16.

Loyola College Prep and Booker T. Washington-Shreveport could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Louisiana Rankings. Loyola College Prep will take on North DeSoto at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday down 1,281 places (1505 vs. 224). Similarly, Booker T. Washington-Shreveport (ranked 228th) will meet Southwood (ranked 68th) at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
