Volleyball Recap: Kim/Branson Mustangs vs. Holly Wildcats
Kim/Branson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Holly Wildcats. The Mustangs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wildcats apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September.
Kim/Branson was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the first set very close. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-21, 25-18.
Leading Holly to victory were Makynna Neugebauer and Natalia Garrido. Neugebauer had 13 digs and 18 assists, while Garrido had ten digs. Neugebauer has been hot , having posted ten or more digs the last six times she's played.
Kim/Branson's loss dropped their record down to 8-12. As for Holly, they moved to 8-14 with that victory, which also ended their four-game losing streak.
Kim/Branson has already played their next contest, a 2-1 win against Crowley County on the 2nd. Holly does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
