Parkland and Northampton are an even 5-5 against one another since April of 2021, but likely not for long. Parkland will head out to challenge Northampton at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Parkland was handed a heart-breaking two-run loss in their last game, but they sure didn't let that happen against Pocono Mountain West on Friday. Parkland was the clear victor by a 13-2 margin over Pocono Mountain West. The Trojans haven't had any issues with the Panthers recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.
Addison Fritzinger and Allison Hunsberger were a major factor no matter where they played. On the mound, Fritzinger struck out seven batters over five innings while giving up just two earned runs off five hits (and only one walk). Meanwhile, Hunsberger tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks any time she's pitched this season. At the plate, Fritzinger went 2-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run, while Hunsberger scored two runs while going 2-for-2. That's the most RBI Fritzinger has posted since back in April of 2024.

In other batting news, Scerena Reed was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. Those two runs gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Amelia Dawson, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.
Parkland was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .472. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in three consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, Northampton put another one in the bag on Wednesday to keep their perfect season alive. They never let East Stroudsburg North get on the board and left with a 15-0 win. The Konkrete Kids' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.
Northampton's record is now 4-0. As for Parkland, the victory got them back to even at 3-3.
Parkland beat Northampton 11-6 in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for Parkland since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
