Soccer Recap: Hardin-Jefferson Comes Up Short

Hardin-Jefferson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 12th straight loss. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Little Cypress-Mauriceville Bears. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bears this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 0-0 back in February.

Hardin-Jefferson's defeat dropped their record down to 4-17. As for Little Cypress-Mauriceville, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-13-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hardin-Jefferson will welcome Vidor at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hardin-Jefferson will be up against Vidor's rather soft defense (which has allowed 4.48 goals per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Little Cypress-Mauriceville, they will be playing at home against Bridge City at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Bridge City will roll in looking for their tenth straight win, something Little Cypress-Mauriceville surely won't give up without a fight.
