Football Recap: Westfield Starts Season with Loss on the Road

Westfield kicked off their season on the road on Saturday and hit a couple of potholes. They were outmatched by the Ludlow Lions and fell 48-0. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Bombers came into the match with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Massachusetts football rankings (they are ranked 72nd, while the Lions are ranked 283rd).

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Westfield will head out to square off against Wahconah Regional at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Ludlow, they are headed away from home for the first time to face off against Greenfield at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
