Albuquerque hadn't done well against Eldorado recently (they were 1-7 in their previous eight matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Bulldogs were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Golden Eagles. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Bulldogs also won the last time the pair played back in September of 2024.

Albuquerque was especially dominant in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-21, 25-20.

Camilla Villarreal paced Albuquerque's offense, picking up 14 kills. Villarreal got some help from Ayva Ashley and her 24 assists. Ashley was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Despite the loss, Eldorado had strong showings from Jayda Latone, who had ten digs and two aces, and Aaliyah Pinzon, who had eight digs. Kaili Roosild also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

Albuquerque's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-2. As for Eldorado, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-4.

Albuquerque wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Albuquerque Academy on the 17th. As for Eldorado, they have also already played their next game, a 3-1 loss against Hope Christian on the 18th.
