Basketball Recap: Thunderbird Titans vs. Paradise Honors Panthers

Thunderbird lost against Paradise Honors back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Thunderbird Titans had to suffer through a 60-12 loss at the hands of the Paradise Honors Panthers. The match marked the Titans' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Paradise Honors got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Morgan Van Dyke out in front who went 6 for 10 on her way to 14 points along with seven steals and five assists. Van Dyke is crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Lizzy Guincho, who posted ten points in addition to eight boards and seven steals.

Thunderbird's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-9. As for Paradise Honors, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 14-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Thunderbird will venture away from home to challenge Greenway at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Greenway will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something Thunderbird surely won't give up without a fight. As for Paradise Honors, they will head out on the road to square off against Goldwater at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Paradise Honors is facing Goldwater at the right time seeing as Goldwater is stuck on an 11-game losing streak.
