Softball Recap: Prairie Central Comes Up Short

Saturday just wasn't the day for Prairie Central's offense. They fell just short of the LeRoy Panthers by a score of 1-0 on Saturday. The loss continues a trend for the Hawks in their meetings with the Panthers: they've now lost five in a row.

Prairie Central's defeat dropped their record down to 11-10. As for LeRoy, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 30-0.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Prairie Central will face off against Normal University at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Pioneers' pitching crew has only allowed 3.9 runs per game this season, so the Hawks' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for LeRoy, they will take on Rantoul at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Panthers 2, the Eagles 4) so any runs scored will be well earned.
