Softball Game Preview: Fulshear Chargers vs. George Ranch Longhorns

For the first time this season, Fulshear will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup on Tuesday. After both having extra time off, they and the George Ranch Longhorns will dust off their jerseys to challenge one another at 6:00 p.m. Fulshear will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.

Last Tuesday, Fulshear earned a 10-6 victory over Heights. That's two games straight that the Chargers have won by exactly four runs.

Brinley Jones was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She pitched 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. What's more, she gave up only zero earned runs, the fewest she's had since back in February. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 2-for-4. That's the most hits she has posted over her last four contests.

In other batting news, Ava Galaviz was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March of 2024. Gabriella Castillo (OSU) was another key player, scoring three runs while going 3-for-4.

Fulshear always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .514. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Meanwhile, George Ranch fell victim to Foster and their airtight pitching crew last Friday. They came up short against the Falcons, falling 24-0. The Longhorns have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

George Ranch's defeat dropped their record down to 5-11-3. As for Fulshear, their record now sits at 9-5.
