Football Recap: McDonough Warhawks vs. Stockbridge Tigers
McDonough lost against Stockbridge back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Warhawks were outmatched by the Tigers and fell 47-7. While losing is never fun, the Warhawks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia football rankings (they are ranked 289th, while the Tigers are ranked 60th).
Joshua Scott produced another solid effort throwing for 279 yards and five TDs while picking up 12.1 yards per attempt for Stockbridge. With that strong performance, Scott is now averaging an impressive 3.2 passing touchdowns per game. Gavin Kinchen was Scott's top target, picking up 72 receiving yards and a pair of scores.
This is the second loss in a row for McDonough and nudges their season record down to 1-4. As for Stockbridge, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 4-1.
