Softball Recap: St. James Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact St. James can now relate to. They fell just short of the Indian Land Warriors by a score of 3-1 on Friday. That makes it the first time this season the Sharks have let down their home crowd.

Raegan Tibbitts spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned runs on seven hits.

St. James' defeat dropped their record down to 31-2. As for Indian Land, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 26-7 record this season.

While St. James had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
