Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Lee). They walked away with a 12-8 win over the Union Bears on Thursday. For the Generals, this counts as revenge for the 6-5 victory the Bears walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2016.

Avery Weston made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out nine batters over seven innings while giving up six earned (and two unearned) runs off ten hits (and only one walk). She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than nine strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with two RBI.

In other batting news, Lee got a big performance out of Taylor Bishop, who went 3-for-4 with three RBI and one run. Another player making a difference was Raleigh Williams, who went 2-for-4 with two doubles, two RBI, and one run.

The Blue Tornado's pitching crew has only allowed 2.9 runs per game this season, so the Bears' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
