Recap: Hough Huskies vs. Hopewell Titans
The Hough Huskies entered their tilt with the Hopewell Titans with eight consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with nine. Hough breezed by Hopewell at home to the tune of 56-0. The result was nothing new for Hough, who have now won five matchups by 24 points or more so far this season.
Hough's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Trey Blakeney, who threw for 107 yards and three touchdowns while completing 80% of his passes. Another player making a difference was Jeremiah Jones, who rushed for 83 yards and a touchdown.
Hough's victory was their sixth straight at home (dating back to last season), bumping their overall record up to 9-1. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 37.7 points per game. As for Hopewell, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-7.
Hough will be playing in front of their home fans against Asheville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Asheville has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 162 points over their last three matchups. Hopewell does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
