Baseball Recap: New Albany's Victory on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Three

New Albany had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 4 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They blew past the Senatobia Warriors 11-1. The result was nothing new for the Bulldogs, who have now won nine matches by six runs or more so far this season.

Parker Skinner spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on four hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, New Albany got a massive performance out of Finn Willis, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-2. Another player making a difference was Parker Hicks, who scored two runs while going 2-for-4.

New Albany pushed their record up to 15-8 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.0 runs over those games. As for Senatobia, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-9.

New Albany will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Warriors: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
