It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Donahue Catholic had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Stingrays 65-63.
Erling Berg was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 21 points and 11 rebounds. Berg is crushing the rebound category: he's posted at least eight every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Isaac Loboda, who scored 11 points along with six assists.
Meanwhile, you can't lose the contest if you win every quarter, and that was precisely Neumann's strategy against The Village School of Naples on Tuesday. Neumann came out on top against The Village School of Naples by a score of 71-59.
Donahue Catholic is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten contests, which provided a nice bump to their 18-3 record this season. As for Neumann, their victory bumped their record up to 13-11.
Donahue Catholic skirted past Neumann 51-49 in their previous meeting back in January. Will Donahue Catholic repeat their success, or does Neumann have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
