Baseball Game Preview: Newton Eagles vs. Pollok Central Bulldogs

Newton hasn't had much luck against Pollok Central recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Eagles are taking a road trip to square off against the Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. Newton has given up an average of 12 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Newton is headed into Tuesday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game on Thursday. They lost 19-1 to Diboll. Having soared to a lofty 11 runs in the game before, the Eagles couldn't push the score so high this time.

Meanwhile, Pollok Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They fell 4-1 to Huntington.

Newton skirted past Pollok Central 3-1 when the teams last played two weeks ago. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Eagles since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
