Basketball Recap: Jacey Roy Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Pinckney

The third road matchup was the charm for Groves, as they earned their first road win of the season. They strolled past the Pinckney Pirates with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 57-42. The Falcons pushed the score to 51-30 by the end of the third, a deficit the Pirates cut but never quite recovered from.

Groves' win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jacey Roy, who went 9 for 17 on her way to 20 points and seven rebounds. Harlem Simpson was another key player, putting up 14 points in addition to eight rebounds and five assists.
