Niceville's game on Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. They had just enough and edged out the South Walton Seahawks 3-2. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since September 12, 2023, but that streak is no more.

Niceville wouldn't go down easily and took South Walton into a fifth set where they got it done with a two-point win. The final score came out to 22-25, 25-16, 18-25, 25-23, 16-14.

Kate Jannazo paced Niceville's offense, picking up 17 kills. Jannazo got some help from Carnley Summerlin and her 39 assists. Finally, Anna Sutter kept Niceville's defense grounded, leading the team with five blocks.

Despite the loss, South Walton still got an impressive performance from Kamryn Garcia, who had 12 digs and three aces.

Niceville's win bumped their record up to 14-6. As for South Walton, the defeat snapped their winning streak at 11 matches and leaves them with a 14-7 record.

Coming up, Niceville will venture away from home to square off against Choctawhatchee at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for South Walton, they will welcome Taylor County at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
