Basketball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Cromwell

Cromwell waltzed into their contest on Monday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They took down the Chisholm Bluestreaks 74-55. The Cardinals' offense checked out after the first half but had enough points banked to take the game anyway.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Cromwell to victory, but perhaps none more so than Tucker Korpi, who dropped a double-double with 20 points and 21 rebounds. Those 21 boards gave Korpi a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Drew Nyberg, who to rack up 20 points.

Cromwell pushed their record up to 17-7 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. As for Chisholm, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-16 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cromwell will take on Nashwauk-Keewatin at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Chisholm, they will face off against Bigfork at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Chisholm knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past seven games -- so hopefully Bigfork likes a good challenge.
