Kempsville and Ocean Lakes are an even 4-4 against one another since October of 2015, but not for long. The Chiefs will be playing in front of their home fans against the Dolphins at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Kempsville is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 31.2 points per game this season.

Ocean Lakes better have a healthy lead at halftime, because if Kempsville's game on Friday is any indication, that's when Kempsville really gets things going. The Chiefs simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Landstown 41-12. The victory continues a trend for the Chiefs in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now won five in a row.

Rob Hughes Jr was his usual excellent self, rushing for 126 yards and four touchdowns on only 14 carries. Another big playmaker for Kempsville was Camir Croom, who returned a punt for a touchdown.

Kempsville's run defense was locked in: Landstown could only muster 1.2 yards per carry. The team can thank Jason Galloway for the heroic effort on defense: he. Kempsville didn't have any issues in that department, having averaged 6.7.

Kempsville didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of James Releford, V and Jahlen Batty. Galloway was another major factor on D, picking up a sack and making ten total tackles (4.0 for loss).

Meanwhile, after soaring to 55 points the game before, Ocean Lakes was a bit more limited in their contest on Friday. They took a 14-10 hit to the loss column at the hands of Cox. The Dolphins haven't had much luck with the Falcons recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Kempsville now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Ocean Lakes, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

Kempsville beat Ocean Lakes 23-15 in their previous matchup back in October of 2024. Will the Chiefs repeat their success, or do the Dolphins have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
