Softball Recap: CORE Butte Comes Up Short

CORE Butte fought the good fight in their extra-innings match against Los Molinos on Thursday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Bulldogs by a score of 6-5. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 7-0 on April 1st.

CORE Butte's loss dropped their record down to 7-11. As for Los Molinos, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten games. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-2-1 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. CORE Butte will take on rival Burney at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Los Molinos is set to face off against their familiar foe Redding Christian at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
